Tree Photos are Out of Control

I've talked about it before, but I can't overstate how much I love trees. They wear their life struggle in their structure. I will stop anytime - driving, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing to take a photo when I spy one I like. My tree silhouette series came about for a number of reasons, but one of the more pressing was the desire to do something with the hundreds of tree photos I have.


My favorite tree species are the beech because of its smooth gray bark, and striped maple because of its green striped bark when it is young, but also because they can have enormous leaves that are pale brilliant yellow in the fall.
