My husband is super supportive of my art venture, and is always checking in with me asking "What do you need?". Well, for past year or so, my quick, but sincere answer is 'time'.
Working a day job leaves me juggling all the other life duties to make time for my art. I tend to work in intense bursts, and during that time my focus is pretty singular and exclusive of all else. All those other daily life tasks fall by the wayside and I'm reduced to eating, sleeping, work and artmaking. During those times my husband picks up the slack and I'm eternally grateful.
I'm coming to the end of an artmaking burst and beginning to think about reengaging in the rest of the world. Looking forward to some date time with my hubby, some much needed LONG walks/hikes with the dogs and maybe even getting out to reconnect with my brother and his beautiful family. Oh yeah, I suppose I could also do some cleaning up around the house... if I have some time.
